WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged stabbing that sent two people to the hospital following a late-night incident near downtown.
According to police, officers with the Uniformed Services Division responded at approximately 12:55 a.m. on November 28 to the area of East 12th Street and Clifford Brown Walk after reports of a stabbing. Investigators say two victims—a 28-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man—arrived at an area hospital with injuries. Both were reported to be in stable condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Michael Chambers of the Criminal Investigations Division. Police allege that through the course of the investigation, Detective Chambers identified 24-year-old Kyndale Perkins as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On December 9, Probation and Parole officers located Perkins and took him into custody without incident, according to authorities.
Perkins has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree, assault in the first degree, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. All charges are allegations filed by law enforcement.
Perkins was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $1,120,000 cash-only bail.
As with all criminal matters, a suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
