AVONDALE, PA — Pennsylvania State Police in Avondale responded to a series of crashes, assaults, thefts and other incidents across southern Chester County in recent weeks, according to information released by the department.
On February 27 at approximately 7:04 p.m., troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash on Westtown Road south of Route 926 in Thornbury Township. Police reported that a 2022 Ford Transit and a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee collided while traveling north. Both drivers were not transported, and one driver received a citation, according to the crash summary.
Earlier that day, troopers were notified of multiple thefts from motor vehicles that occurred in the early morning hours of February 27 in the areas of Redbud Drive, Vickersham Road and Schoolview Lane in East Nottingham Township. PSP Avondale said the investigation is ongoing and is seeking additional information.
On February 26 at approximately 10:40 a.m., troopers responded to Avon Grove Charter School in London Grove Township for a report of a 16-year-old male allegedly in possession of a THC vape. Police said appropriate charges will be filed.
Also on February 26 at approximately 8:24 a.m., troopers responded to the 80 block of Nottingham Drive in West Nottingham Township for a reported catalytic converter theft that occurred between February 21 and February 24.
On February 25 at approximately 12:57 p.m., troopers investigated a physical domestic incident on Hilltop Drive in Penn Township. Police allege a 52-year-old West Grove man pushed a 46-year-old woman into a wall during a verbal dispute. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 15-3-05.
Troopers also investigated several fraud-related incidents. On February 24 at approximately 4:54 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of School House Road in East Marlborough Township for a report of a fraudulent check in the amount of $1,471 that had been cashed. PSP Avondale is investigating.
On February 22 at approximately 12:52 p.m., troopers responded to a report that an unknown individual attempted to purchase an Apple iPhone 16 at an AT&T store in Bear, Delaware, using a victim’s account information. Police said the transaction, valued at $729.99, was reported as fraud and no monetary loss occurred.
Several driving-related incidents were also reported. On February 24 at approximately 1:31 p.m., troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash on Lake Road south of Baltimore Pike in London Grove Township. Police said both vehicles sustained minor functional damage and no injuries were reported.
On February 21 at approximately 1:31 p.m., troopers investigated a crash on Lees Bridge Road southwest of West Christine Road in West Nottingham Township, where a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported.
On January 20 at approximately 3 p.m., troopers investigated a single-vehicle crash on Route 796 near the Kennett Oxford Bypass in Penn Township. Police reported the driver lost control after striking a controlled final rest and sustained disabling front-end damage. The driver declined EMS and received a citation.
Troopers also reported two drug possession incidents on February 19 in London Grove Township involving juveniles and adults. Charges are pending in those investigations.
In addition, troopers are investigating a report initiated by an out-of-state law enforcement agency involving alleged inappropriate images uploaded through Snapchat. On January 21, troopers executed a search warrant on Isaac Taylor Drive in Pocopson Township and seized electronic devices as part of the ongoing investigation.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
