Six Men Arrested in Major Wilmington Drug Bust, Police Seize Large Haul

WILMINGTON, DE — Six men were taken into custody by Wilmington Police on May 1, 2025, following a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales in the city. The arrests mark the culmination of efforts by the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, which has been conducting surveillance and gathering intelligence in the 1200 block of Read Street since April.

At approximately 2:38 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a location in the area, resulting in the arrest of the suspects without incident. During the operation, authorities recovered 61.25 grams of crack cocaine, 1.95 grams of heroin, 69.78 grams of marijuana, various items of drug paraphernalia, and $2,305 in cash believed to be linked to drug sales.

The individuals arrested and their charges are as follows:

  • Dale Womack, 26, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, tampering with physical evidence, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $44,500 cash-only bail.
  • Nathan Wilson, 47, faces charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody with bail set at $42,500 cash-only.
  • Michael Ewell, 29, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $21,500 secured bail.
  • Tymir Johnson, 47, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $32,500 cash-only bail.
  • Michael Crippen, 46, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also remains in custody on $32,500 cash-only bail.
  • Zymire Reid, 18, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $21,000 secured bail.
