Shots Fired Into Family Car Lead to Attempted Homicide Arrest in Sharon Hill

SHARON HILL, PA — Sharon Hill Borough police have announced the arrest of a 28-year-old man in connection with a shooting late last year that investigators allege placed multiple family members, including a toddler, in danger.

According to the Sharon Hill Borough Police Department, officers responded on December 30, 2025, to the 200 block of Folcroft Avenue after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, patrol officers and detectives secured the scene and began an investigation into the incident.

Through investigative efforts, police allege that Tyquan Shymar Lloyd discharged a firearm into a vehicle occupied by family members, including a two-year-old child. Authorities said the shooting did not result in reported fatalities, but the circumstances prompted an intensive investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

Police said Lloyd peacefully turned himself in at police headquarters on Tuesday morning. He was taken into custody and charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, and possession of instruments of a crime. All charges are allegations.

Bail was set at 10 percent of $250,000.00, according to police. The arrest occurred on January 20, 2026.

The Sharon Hill Borough Police Department credited the Darby Borough Police Department, Folcroft Police Department, and the Delaware County Region 1 Emergency Response Team for their assistance during the investigation.
