Shots Fired in Wilmington: 41-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized After Lancaster Avenue Shooting

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured Monday evening on the city’s west side.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred on September 1, 2025, at approximately 7:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue. Responding officers located a 41-year-old female victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said the woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. No additional details have been released about the circumstances of the shooting or possible suspects.
