ROBESONIA, PA — Police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate an alleged overnight vehicle theft from the Conrad Weiser Area School District campus in Berks County.
According to the South Heidelberg Township Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on December 31, when a white 2010 Ford E-250 school van bearing Pennsylvania registration MG3557F was reported stolen from school property at 347 East Penn Avenue.
Investigators said security footage from the early morning hours shows suspects arriving on campus in a separate all-white van. An unidentified individual is seen exiting that vehicle, gaining access to the school district van, and driving it away. Police said both the stolen van and the suspect vehicle were last observed traveling westbound on Penn Avenue.
The investigation remains active, and police are working to identify those allegedly involved and determine the current location of the stolen vehicle.
Anyone who observes the van or has information related to the alleged theft, its whereabouts, or the identity of the person or persons responsible is urged to contact the South Heidelberg Township Police Department at 610-670-9885. In the event of an emergency or an active sighting of the vehicle, residents are advised to dial 911.
Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Alert Berks County at https://crimealertberks.org/submit-a-tip/. Police noted that Crime Alert offers cash rewards for information that leads to an arrest.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation involves allegations only and that any suspect identified in connection with the case is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
