Robbery at New Castle Motel Leaves Man Injured, Suspects Flee

NEW CASTLE, DE — Police are searching for two suspects following a daytime robbery that left a man injured at a local motel, authorities said.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded at approximately 1:00 p.m. on March 21 to the Superlodge at 1213 West Avenue for a reported robbery.

Investigators said two unknown male suspects allegedly approached a 23-year-old man in the parking lot, assaulted him, and forcibly removed personal property from his pockets before fleeing the scene.

Police reported the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities described the suspects as teenage or young adult males wearing dark-colored clothing.

According to investigators, the case remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit.
