WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police say a months-long investigation into a series of shoplifting incidents across New Castle County has led to one arrest and an active search for a second suspect, as detectives allege the pair targeted multiple Home Depot stores and made off with thousands of dollars in merchandise.

According to investigators, Home Depot loss prevention personnel alerted the Delaware State Police Organized Retail Crimes Unit in early January 2026 after noticing a pattern of thefts involving similar suspects. Detectives allege that between May and November 2025, the suspects worked together during eight separate incidents at Home Depot locations throughout New Castle County, stealing more than $10,400 worth of power tools and other merchandise.
