Police Seek Suspect in Oxford Car Break-In and Purse Theft Investigation

OXFORD, PA — Police in Oxford are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in an alleged vehicle break-in and theft that occurred earlier this month.

According to the Oxford Police Department, officers responded to the 500 block of South Third Street on November 5, 2025, after a resident discovered damage to their vehicle. Upon investigation, police found that the rear driver’s side window had been shattered and a purse was missing from inside.

Surveillance footage from a nearby parking lot reportedly shows a dark-colored vehicle — believed to be a Ford Bronco — pulling alongside a parked car. A suspect is seen exiting the vehicle, using a flashlight to look through the window of one car before moving to the victim’s vehicle, where the theft and property damage are believed to have occurred.

Investigators are urging anyone who can identify the suspect or the vehicle involved to contact the Oxford Police Department at 610-268-3171 or submit an anonymous tip online.

Police emphasize that all individuals connected to the case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
