Police Seek Suspect After Early-Morning Assault in Center City Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an early-morning assault in Center City.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on November 1, 2025, near the 600 block of Chestnut Street. According to police, a 22-year-old man was assaulted by an unidentified male who struck him in the face and head area before fleeing the scene.

Investigators have released surveillance video and photos of the suspect, who remains at large. Police are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident to contact the Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093 or 215-686-3094 and ask for Detective Murphy.
