PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are searching for 30-year-old Alfredo Marrero, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that left a 7-year-old girl wounded in North Philadelphia last week.
According to police, the incident occurred around 7:13 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, on the 3000 block of North Marshall Street. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department’s 25th District responded after the child arrived at Temple University Hospital by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to her left arm.
Investigators said the girl was riding with her mother when their vehicle was struck by gunfire. The child was later transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
At the scene, officers recovered six spent 9mm shell casings. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the case and has issued an active arrest warrant for Marrero.
Police are urging anyone with information about Marrero’s whereabouts to contact the Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270 or submit anonymous tips by calling or texting 215-686-TIPS (8477).
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
