Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Germantown Avenue Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that injured a teenager in the city’s 39th District last month.

According to police, officers responded on September 21, 2025, to a 911 call reporting a large crowd and gunfire at the intersection of Bristol Street and Germantown Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male suffering from two gunshot wounds to his left leg. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Investigators with the department’s Shooting Investigation Group released surveillance footage showing the suspect, described as a Black or Hispanic male with a light complexion. He was wearing a black balaclava-style mask, gray hooded sweatshirt, black shorts with a small white logo on the left thigh, and white Under Armour sneakers with black trim. Police noted the suspect also had a bandaged left hand.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270 or 215-686-8271.

All allegations are under investigation, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
