KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Square Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of removing a crosswalk sign from a borough intersection Saturday afternoon.
According to the department, officers were notified that at approximately 4:34 p.m. February 28, a male was observed carrying a crosswalk sign away from the intersection of South Union Street and Mulberry Street. Police stated the sign was allegedly taken without permission, and the individual fled the area on foot.
The suspect is described by police as a white male, approximately 25 to 30 years old. He was last seen wearing jeans and a black hoodie. A photo of the individual was released as part of the department’s request for information.
Police are asking anyone who may recognize the individual or have information related to the incident to contact Officer Todd at 610-444-0501 or by email at mtodd@kennettsquarepolice.org. Tips may also be submitted online.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
