WYOMISSING, PA — Wyomissing police responded to a variety of incidents across the borough Thursday, March 12, including multiple vehicle crashes, a workplace assault report, and a domestic dispute, according to police records.
Police were first dispatched at 1:04 a.m. to Museum Road to assist another department regarding a domestic dispute that had reportedly occurred in the City of Reading. Wyomissing officers contacted Reading police, who handled the incident, according to authorities.
At 7:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to Route 222 near State Hill Road after receiving a report of a metal aluminum sheet in the roadway. Police said the area was checked, but the object could not be located.
Police responded at 8:28 a.m. to Penn Avenue near Route 222 for a reportable two-vehicle crash. Authorities reported both vehicles were towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
Officers were dispatched at 9:44 a.m. to Berkshire Court after a 911 hang-up call. Police checked the area and reported no one required assistance.
At 10:44 a.m., officers responded to Park Plaza for a report of a disabled vehicle. Police said the vehicle owner was attempting repairs and was given time to fix the vehicle before a tow truck would be contacted.
Police were dispatched at 11:00 a.m. to Cambridge Avenue for an automatic fire alarm. According to investigators, the Wyomissing Fire Department handled the call.
At 3:33 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of State Hill Road and Berkshire Boulevard for a non-reportable two-vehicle crash. Police reported that one vehicle was turning left from Berkshire Boulevard onto State Hill Road while another vehicle was traveling straight from Vista Road onto Berkshire Boulevard when the vehicles collided. Authorities said there were no injuries and no vehicles required towing.
Police were dispatched at 6:38 p.m. to Berkshire Boulevard for a report that an employee had allegedly been punched while at work. Officers documented the incident and obtained information from those involved, according to investigators.
At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the West Shore Bypass near North Wyomissing Boulevard for a two-vehicle crash. Police reported one vehicle sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported.
At 8:44 p.m., police responded to Route 222 near the Ramp DC area for a reportable two-vehicle crash. Authorities said one vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
Officers were dispatched at 9:18 p.m. to Woodland Road for a domestic disturbance involving a verbal altercation between siblings. Police reported the parties were separated and a parent arrived to supervise the juveniles.
Police responded at 9:56 p.m. to Berkshire Boulevard for a burglar alarm at a business. Investigators said cleaning personnel were on site and no problems were found.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
