BENSALEM, PA — Authorities in Bensalem are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found dead outside a hotel on Monday afternoon.
According to the Bensalem Police Department, officers were called to the parking lot of the Benjamin Rush Hotel—formerly the Neshaminy Motor Inn—located at 2345 Old Lincoln Highway, around 4:30 p.m. on October 27, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased white male lying on his back in the parking lot.
The man had no identification on him, but police later confirmed his identity using a mobile fingerprint scanner. He was identified as 42-year-old Zachary Dooney, whose last known address was in Newville, Pennsylvania. At the time of discovery, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt bearing the words “Rob Nolfi Roofing” and gray sweatpants.
Detectives are treating the incident as a suspicious death and are asking for the public’s assistance. Investigators are specifically seeking anyone who may have seen or spoken with Dooney before his death on October 27.
