Police Investigate String of Tire Slashings Across North Wilmington Neighborhoods

WILMINGTON, DE — Patrol officers with the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating a series of tire slashings reported overnight in several North Wilmington communities, affecting dozens of vehicles.

Authorities said officers were dispatched early Sunday morning to multiple reports of vandalism in the Wynnwood and Brandywood neighborhoods. As of this report, approximately 30 incidents have been confirmed, with additional reports still being reviewed.

Investigators believe the tire slashings occurred during the overnight hours, though no suspects have been identified at this time. Police are urging residents to inspect their vehicles for damage or signs of tampering and to review home or business surveillance footage for any suspicious activity.
