WYOMISSING, PA — The Wyomissing Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to a significant retail theft involving more than $9,000.00 worth of jewelry, according to an official statement released by the department.
Investigators said the theft occurred at a local retail establishment within the borough on Friday, October 24. The individual, whose image was captured by store surveillance cameras, is being sought for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the person or who may have information relevant to the case to contact the Wyomissing Police Department at 610-375-6102. Tips can also be submitted via the department’s Crimewatch page or anonymously through Crime Alert Berks by calling 877-373-9913 or texting 847411 with the keyword ALERTBERKS, followed by the message. Tipsters are asked to reference assignment number 39-25-7650 when submitting information.
Police emphasized that the community’s cooperation plays a crucial role in resolving cases like this one and expressed appreciation for the public’s continued assistance.
No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains active. Any individual identified or charged in connection with this incident is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
