Police: Bucks County Woman Allegedly Hit Pedestrian After Heated Argument

SOUTHAMPTON, PA — A Bucks County woman has been charged after allegedly striking a pedestrian with her vehicle following a confrontation along Street Road, according to the Upper Southampton Township Police Department.

Authorities said that on November 4, 2025, at approximately 11:39 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Street Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that 64-year-old Linda Eckert allegedly drove her vehicle toward the victim after a verbal altercation, intentionally hitting the individual before fleeing the scene.

Police later located Eckert and took her into custody. She has been charged with aggravated assault and related offenses. Details regarding the victim’s condition have not been released.

The case remains under investigation by Upper Southampton Township Police.

Authorities remind the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
