Police Appeal to Public as Wilmington Murder Suspect Remains at Large

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in late July.

On July 21, at approximately 10:02 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of North Franklin Street after reports of gunfire. At the scene, they found 50-year-old Donnell Seeney of Dover suffering from gunshot wounds. Seeney was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Following weeks of investigation, detectives identified 30-year-old Nicodemus Morris as a suspect. A New Castle County Grand Jury indicted Morris on September 2 on multiple charges, including murder.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
