HARRISBURG, PA — A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to 9 to 18 years in prison for leading a drug trafficking operation that distributed narcotics across Beaver and Allegheny counties.

Dennis Alexander, 29, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including four counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, illegal possession of a firearm, and receiving stolen property. The sentencing follows a comprehensive investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations, assisted by the Beaver County Task Force and police departments in New Brighton and Pittsburgh.

Authorities say Alexander sold heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone, methamphetamine, and marijuana while residing in Pittsburgh. A search warrant executed by law enforcement uncovered drugs and a firearm in his possession—despite a prior felony record that barred him from owning weapons.

Attorney General Dave Sunday said the defendant had multiple chances to abandon his criminal conduct. “The defendant pushed a variety of poisons into western Pennsylvania, valuing financial profits over the harm he caused to people and communities,” he stated. “This sentence reflects the danger his actions bring to our communities.”

Investigators reported at least a dozen instances where Alexander or his associates sold drugs directly to a confidential informant or undercover officer. His prior felony drug convictions, dating back to 2016 and 2017, weighed heavily in the sentencing.
