Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Delancey Place Package Theft

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman wanted in connection with a package theft in Center City.

Authorities report that on August 21, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., an unknown woman removed a package from the front steps of a residence in the 1800 block of Delancey Place. Police say the suspect then fled east on Delancey Street.

Investigators released surveillance footage from the area to aid in identifying the suspect, who is described as a white female wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this incident is urged to contact the Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093 or 215-686-3094, and reference DC 25-09-097314. Detective Nestel is leading the investigation.

All allegations remain under investigation. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
