PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Philadelphia man was sentenced Tuesday to 14 years in federal prison for his role in an armed carjacking in the city in August 2023, federal prosecutors announced.
Quadir Findley, 25, was sentenced Tuesday, March 3, by U.S. District Judge Gerald A. McHugh to 14 years’ imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
A federal jury previously convicted Findley of carjacking, using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Federal prosecutors said the charges stem from an early morning carjacking on August 5, 2023.
According to evidence presented at trial, Findley and co-defendant Eric Dickerson, 25, approached the victim and stole the victim’s vehicle at gunpoint.
During the incident, prosecutors said Findley threatened to kill the victim and forced the victim to the ground before the two men fled in the stolen vehicle.
Dickerson was previously sentenced on April 16, 2025, by McHugh to seven years in prison followed by three years of supervised release after a jury convicted him of carjacking.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Philadelphia Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Catherine S. Dos Santos and Priya T. De Souza prosecuted the case, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
