PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Philadelphia man was convicted Tuesday on federal charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced.
Harry Dallas, 44, was found guilty March 31 following a trial in U.S. District Court, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors said the case stems from a June 2023 encounter in Center City involving a runaway teenager who had been reported missing from her home state. Evidence presented at trial showed the minor lacked money and stable housing, circumstances authorities said the defendant exploited.
According to prosecutors, Dallas transported the minor to his residence in Northeast Philadelphia, where he engaged in conduct that formed the basis of the federal charges and created visual recordings tied to the offenses.
In 2024, the FBI executed a search warrant on a cloud-based account linked to Dallas, where agents recovered digital evidence associated with the case, authorities said.
Dallas is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8 and faces a maximum possible sentence of 90 years in prison.
The case was investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Justin Ashenfelter and Amanda McCool.
