Philadelphia Man Arrested in Alleged $700 Retail Theft at Warrington Target

WARRINGTON, PAWarrington Township Police have arrested a Philadelphia man accused of stealing a high-end robotic vacuum from a local Target store earlier this year, according to authorities.

Police said that on September 5, 2025, Target’s loss prevention team reported a retail theft that had occurred several months earlier, on June 5, at the store located at 401 Easton Road in Warrington. Investigators were informed that a man, later identified as 30-year-old Clarance Matthew Murray of Philadelphia, allegedly selected an iRobot Roomba 705 vacuum cleaner valued at $699.99 and left the store without paying for it.

Following the report, police obtained a warrant for Murray’s arrest. He later turned himself in to authorities on October 2, 2025.

Murray was arraigned before a Magisterial District Judge, where bail was set at $15,000, or 10 percent cash. Police said he was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

According to the Warrington Township Police Department, Murray faces charges of Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. Police also described him as a repeat shoplifting offender.

The case remains under review by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
