DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Philadelphia man has been charged following allegations that he attempted to purchase a firearm despite being legally prohibited from doing so, according to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.
Police say 23-year-old Shakii Isaiah Staton turned himself in to authorities on October 21, 2025, after an arrest warrant was issued in connection with an incident at the Bunker Gun Shop II in Chalfont Borough. Staton was arraigned, and bail was set at $100,000 unsecured with additional restrictions.
The warrant, issued on September 10 under docket number MJ-07208-CR-0000309-2025, alleges that Staton knowingly made false statements while attempting to buy a firearm. The nature of the prohibited status was not disclosed by police.
Staton has been charged with making a false written statement.
Law enforcement officials did not release additional details about the investigation, which remains ongoing.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
