HARRISBURG, PA — A Philadelphia resident with a past record of sexual offenses has been charged with multiple new allegations, including human trafficking and statutory sexual assault, after allegedly abusing a 15-year-old girl while out on bail.
Craig Coleman, 32, was arrested this week and now faces charges that include human trafficking, unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sexual assault, manufacturing child pornography, and related offenses. These allegations follow a history of prior legal troubles, including a 2017 conviction for manufacturing child pornography and statutory sexual assault.
According to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Coleman initially contacted the alleged victim online in February 2025. Authorities claim that Coleman became aware of the girl’s age yet engaged in repeated acts of abuse, some of which he allegedly filmed. Investigators also allege that Coleman paid the minor and later attempted to prevent her from cooperating with law enforcement.
Attorney General Dave Sunday described the case as deeply concerning. “Based on his previous and present abhorrent conduct, there is no question that this individual is a danger to children,” he said, commending the investigative team for responding swiftly and building the case efficiently.
Investigators revealed that Coleman was out on bail for a prior child sexual abuse material case when these incidents allegedly occurred. Coleman posted bail in November 2024, having been charged in 2023. He pleaded guilty to those charges in January 2025, but while awaiting sentencing, he reportedly contacted the 15-year-old girl and engaged in further unlawful conduct.
Coleman’s new charges also include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, intimidation of witnesses or victims, and obstruction in child abuse cases. His bail has been set at $10 million.
Senior Deputy Attorney General Michelle Laucella of the Child Predator Section is leading the prosecution. Officials have stressed that Coleman, like all defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation into the case remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and assess the full scope of the alleged crimes.
