SHARON HILL, PA — A Philadelphia man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from police and resisting arrest during a domestic incident in Sharon Hill earlier this month.
According to the Sharon Hill Borough Police Department, officers were dispatched to the unit block of Florence Avenue on November 6, 2025, for a report of a domestic dispute involving 32-year-old Matthew Jamison and his mother.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered that Jamison had an active warrant for a probation violation issued in Montgomery County. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he allegedly fled the scene and resisted arrest, leading to a brief physical altercation before he was detained.
Jamison was charged with resisting arrest, evading arrest or detention on foot, and flight to avoid apprehension. He was transported to the George Hill Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing later this month.
Police emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
