HARRISBURG, PA — A Perry County man was sentenced Tuesday to 65½ to 131 years in prison after a jury convicted him of sexually and physically abusing four children over several decades, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced.
Andrew Allamon, 55, was convicted in October by a Perry County jury following a four-day trial.
The jury found him guilty of multiple counts of rape, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault, indecent assault of a child, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Office of Attorney General.
A Perry County judge imposed the sentence Tuesday.
“This defendant no longer presents a threat to anyone in our communities, as this sentence ensures he will be behind bars for the rest of his life,” Sunday said.
Prosecutors said evidence presented at trial showed Allamon used a pocket knife during sexual assaults and in other acts of abuse.
According to the attorney general’s office, the defendant threatened and physically harmed the victims if they refused to comply with his demands.
The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorneys General Lauren Eichelberger and Julianne Danchak.
