PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of pepper-spraying a man during a rally earlier this year in Center City, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Authorities said the incident occurred January 10 at approximately 1:48 p.m. along the 800 block of Market Street during a Rally for Venezuela event.
According to police, the suspect allegedly began blocking the path of a 22-year-old male victim before spraying him with pepper spray. Investigators stated the victim suffered blurred vision and eye irritation and was transported to Pennsylvania Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a White male between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a red hooded jacket, tan pants and red-and-black Salomon XT-6 sneakers.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
