HARRISBURG, PA — A 30-year-old Curwensville man is charged with multiple firearms and drug-related offenses following a traffic stop in Clearfield County, Attorney General Dave Sunday and the Pennsylvania State Police announced.
According to the Office of Attorney General, agents from the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and state police conducted a traffic stop Monday in Houtzdale as part of a joint investigation.
Police said they seized 16 firearms from the man’s vehicle and home, including five firearms that allegedly did not have serial numbers, along with methamphetamine. Authorities also reported recovering tools that could be used to remove or alter serial numbers.
Isaac Kunselman, 30, of Curwensville, is charged with felony possession of firearms with obliterated serial numbers, misdemeanor obstruction of justice, driving under the influence and related offenses, according to the Attorney General’s Office. Investigators identified Kunselman as a suspected drug trafficker through surveillance and other investigative tactics, authorities said.
Kunselman was arraigned Monday and bail was set at $50,000 cash, officials stated. Additional charges related to the firearms and drugs are expected, according to police.
The case is being prosecuted by the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
