WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have charged a Pennsylvania man with multiple drug offenses following an investigation in the city earlier this week.
Authorities say the arrest occurred on August 11 at approximately 12:55 p.m., when members of the department’s Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting operations in the 600 block of Taylor Street. Officers allege they observed 30-year-old Troy Harris, Jr., of Folcroft, Pennsylvania, engaged in drug transactions.
Harris was taken into custody without incident. Police report seizing approximately 443 grams of marijuana along with packaging materials consistent with distribution.
He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following arraignment in New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Harris was released after posting $6,100 cash-only bail.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
