HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Police are investigating a late-night disturbance at a Pine Road business that escalated into an alleged physical assault and impaired driving incident, according to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department.
Officers were dispatched on Sunday, December 14, 2025, to a business in the 2800 block of Pine Road after reports of a physical altercation involving a customer. Upon arrival, police located a man later identified as 25-year-old Soso Shioshvili outside the establishment, standing in a parking lot near his vehicle and attempting to reenter the business.
Police said Shioshvili acknowledged he was the sole operator of the vehicle parked nearby. Investigators reported that a victim at the scene displayed visible injuries to the right side of the face, including swelling and a partially closed eye.
According to the investigation, Shioshvili allegedly entered the business and disrupted other patrons before being asked to leave. Police allege that once outside, he struck the victim multiple times in the face with closed-fist punches.
Officers further alleged that Shioshvili showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody and charged in connection with the alleged assault and driving under the influence.
Shioshvili faces charges including simple assault, DUI—general impairment and inability to drive safely (first offense), public drunkenness and similar misconduct, harassment involving physical contact, and a traffic offense related to turning movements and required signals.
Police emphasized that the charges stem from allegations made during the investigation. Any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
