MORGANTOWN, PA — Two individuals are facing charges after police said they allegedly carried out a forgery and fraud scheme involving a $7,000 check at a Berks County bank and a second location.
According to Caernarvon Township Police, the incident occurred on September 3, 2025, between 2:40 p.m. and 3:33 p.m. at Truist Financial, 750 Crossings Boulevard.
Police reported that a woman, later identified as Jill Gorman of Upper Darby, allegedly presented a forged $7,000 check at the Elverson branch, which was later returned for insufficient funds.
Investigators said the same individuals were allegedly involved in a similar incident at another Truist Financial location in Upper Providence Township on the same day.
According to police, Gorman was allegedly accompanied by 22-year-old Kervins Isac of Huntingdon Valley, who was linked to a rented white BMW X-Series observed at both locations during the incidents.
Authorities reported that phone records and GPS data allegedly placed Isac at both bank locations. Police said a search warrant executed on his cellphone allegedly revealed images of fake identification, blank checks, and banking information.
Police reported that both Gorman and Isac were taken into custody on March 19 following the issuance of arrest warrants in connection with the investigation.
According to authorities, the charges include dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, forgery, access device fraud, and related offenses.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
