Oxford Man Arrested Following Domestic Disturbance

OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Police Department arrested a local man on May 20, 2025, following a domestic disturbance reported on Market Street.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Market Street at approximately 11:00 AM and made contact with a male victim and a female witness. According to initial statements, Joshua Davis, 40, became agitated and allegedly initiated a physical altercation with the victim.

Further investigation revealed that Davis also had an active Chester County bench warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Oxford Police Department for processing and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Davis was later handed over to constables for transport to Chester County Prison.

A preliminary hearing for Davis is scheduled to take place on June 3, 2025, at the Oxford District Court.

The Oxford Police Department reminds the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
