WYOMISSING, PA — A series of overnight incidents kept Wyomissing police and emergency personnel active on Sunday as officers responded to 911 hang-ups, traffic violations, a hit-and-run allegation, a medical emergency, and a report involving a juvenile in crisis, according to departmental records. All individuals connected to these events are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The incident log, released by the Wyomissing Police Department, details nine calls handled between shortly after midnight and late evening on December 7. Although most matters were resolved without major developments, several prompted follow-up action or required coordination with medical services.
The first two calls involved 911 hang-ups on Papermill Road and Gail Circle. In both cases, officers spoke with individuals at the scene who indicated there was no emergency. Both incidents were cleared without further action.
Later that morning, officers responded to a hit-and-run allegation on Wyomissing Boulevard. Police gathered information from those involved, and the case was closed with the incident logged as informational.
During the afternoon, police were dispatched to Logan Avenue for a reported reckless driver connected to a road rage complaint. Officers spoke with the reporting party, though attempts to contact the alleged driver were unsuccessful. The case remains open for follow-up.
In the early evening, police assisted with a medical call on Lawndale Road involving a man described as not fully responsive. Emergency personnel transported him to Reading Hospital.
Shortly afterward, officers were sent again to Gail Circle for a report of a loose dog. Responders found the animal had left the area before their arrival.
Two later incidents involved traffic violations. Officers conducted separate vehicle stops on Warren Street Bypass and Park Road North, issuing warnings for failure to use a turn signal and for window tint, respectively.
The final call of the night involved a missing juvenile reported to be experiencing suicidal thoughts on Lincoln Avenue. Officers located the juvenile on scene, and EMS transported the individual to the hospital for further care.
Police say all nine incidents were handled promptly, with each case closed or forwarded for appropriate follow-up. The department’s report offered no indication of ongoing public safety threats tied to these calls.
