PHILADELPHIA, PA —The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a commercial robbery at Shauna’s Restaurant on May 24, 2025.
Authorities report that the incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. at the restaurant, located on Mascher Street. The owner, who was closing the business with her three children present, was allegedly confronted by an unknown male who entered the establishment and demanded money at gunpoint. The suspect fled the scene with cash and was last observed running through the SEPTA Olney train station parking lot.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic or Black male with a medium build and a tattoo on his right hand. He was reportedly wearing a dark and royal blue hooded jacket, ripped dark blue jeans, and white “New Balance” sneakers during the incident.
The Northwest Detective Division is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information related to this crime to contact detectives at 215-686-3353 or 215-686-3354. Tips can also be submitted anonymously by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Officials remind the public that the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
