Massive Drug Seizure Unveiled: New Castle Man Charged After Months-Long Probe

NEW CASTLE, DE — Detectives with the New Castle County Police Drug and Human Trafficking Investigations Team have arrested a 45-year-old man following a months-long investigation that authorities say uncovered significant evidence of widespread narcotics trafficking in New Castle County and surrounding areas.

According to police, the investigation began in September 2025 after detectives identified indications of drug distribution activity linked to multiple locations throughout the region. The inquiry ultimately focused on a residence in the Collins Park neighborhood.

On November 18, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at the home of Adeeb Sharif, located on the 400 block of Howell Drive. During the search, investigators seized large quantities of illegal narcotics and related materials, including:

  • 889 grams of crack cocaine
  • 263 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 88 grams of suspected MDMA
  • 59 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl
  • 1,045 grams of a suspected cutting agent
  • Digital scale, razor blades, sandwich bags, and other packaging materials commonly used in drug distribution

Sharif was taken into custody and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was charged with four felony counts of Tier 3 possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, four felony counts of Tier 3 possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $480,200.00 cash bail.

Police emphasize that all charges are allegations, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
