Manhunt Underway: Philly Police Release Video of Suspect in Deadly South Etting Street Mass Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect believed to be connected to a mass shooting that left three people dead and ten others injured earlier this month in South Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred shortly after midnight on Monday, July 7, 2025, around 12:56 a.m., in the 1500 block of South Etting Street. Surveillance video has been released featuring an unidentified male suspect who is wanted for questioning in relation to the attack.

The shooting resulted in thirteen victims—both male and female—ranging in age from 15 to 24 years old. Authorities have confirmed that three of those individuals succumbed to their injuries. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of their families.

The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, and officials have not disclosed whether the suspect acted alone or if others may have been involved.

In an effort to advance the case, the City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide. Authorities urge anyone who may recognize the suspect to avoid approaching him directly and instead call 911 immediately.
