Manhunt Underway for Suspect Wanted in Deadly Upper Chichester Shooting

UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — Authorities in Upper Chichester Township continue their search for a suspect wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred late last week.

According to the Upper Chichester Township Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4300 block of Naamans Creek Road on the morning of July 24, 2025. Following an initial investigation, police identified 37-year-old Nicholas Martella as the alleged shooter.

An arrest warrant for Martella was issued on July 25 by the Linwood District Court under docket number MJ-32136-CR-0000133-205. The warrant includes charges related to homicide.

Martella is described as a white male, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Law enforcement officials have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the incident, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. The public is being asked to assist in locating Martella.
