Man Turns Himself In on Bench Warrant in Oxford

OXFORD, PA — A 52-year-old Oxford man was taken into custody after he reportedly turned himself in on an active bench warrant Sunday night.

According to Oxford Police, officers made contact with Robert Hughes, 52, of Oxford, at approximately 10:44 p.m. on March 22 when he entered the police station lobby in the 0 block of North 4th Street and stated he had an active Chester County bench warrant.

Police said the warrant was confirmed, and Hughes was taken into custody without incident. Officers then transported him to Chester County Prison, according to authorities.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
