Man Shot in Wilmington’s Bayard Avenue Neighborhood; Police Seeking Information

WILMINGTON, DE — A 35-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday morning following a shooting in Wilmington’s Bayard Square neighborhood, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of Bayard Avenue at approximately 9:55 a.m. on August 5 after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

As of this report, no arrests have been made, and police have not released information regarding potential suspects or a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities expect to release additional details as they become available.
