WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that left one man injured in the Alban Park community on the night of Monday, June 16, 2025.
At approximately 10:26 p.m., officers patrolling the area reported hearing multiple gunshots near Homestead Road. Shortly thereafter, they observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene and initiated a traffic stop on Maryland Avenue.
The driver, identified as a 26-year-old male, was found to have sustained gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. Officers provided first aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators established a crime scene in the 600 block of Homestead Road, where they identified several vehicles struck by gunfire. Detectives from the New Castle County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit quickly assumed control of the investigation, which remains active and ongoing.
