KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A 26-year-old man is facing assault-related charges after police said he allegedly struck a woman with a broken laptop during a late-night altercation in the borough.
According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:52 p.m. February 17 to the 600 block of Meadow Creek Lane for a reported disturbance.
Police allege that during the altercation, Joshua Laaksonen, 26, struck a female victim with a laptop that had been broken, causing redness and swelling to her face.
Laaksonen was charged February 25 with simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. Charges were filed in Magisterial District Court 15-3-04, and the case is pending a preliminary hearing.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
