HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Authorities in Lower Moreland Township have arrested a 44-year-old man accused of returning to a local bar, wielding a machete and a nail gun, following an earlier disturbance in which he was asked to leave the premises.

The incident unfolded on the night of August 2, 2025, when police were initially called to the 2800 block of Philmont Avenue in response to a report of disorderly behavior. According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, witnesses told officers that two individuals had been removed from the establishment after becoming argumentative while under the influence of alcohol. By the time officers arrived, both individuals had reportedly left the scene in an SUV.

Later that evening, at approximately 11:03 p.m., police were called back to the same location after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The caller stated that one of the previously removed individuals had returned, this time allegedly armed with a machete.

Upon investigation, officers identified the individual as Igor Dzhumaev. Surveillance and witness accounts indicate that Dzhumaev was observed opening the trunk of a vehicle before approaching the establishment with what appeared to be a sword-like weapon in one hand and a nail gun in the other. He was taken into custody at the scene and appeared to be intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

As the legal process moves forward, Dzhumaev is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation remains ongoing.
