PARKESBURG, PA — A Chester County man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting another individual with a handgun during a violent encounter in Atglen Borough, according to authorities.
Parkesburg Borough Police have charged 21-year-old Sharone Nathan Thompson Jr. with aggravated assault with a weapon and related offenses in connection with the incident, which occurred on July 26, 2025, in the 400 block of Main Street.
Investigators allege that Thompson pointed a handgun at the victim and then struck the individual in the head several times with the weapon, resulting in injuries. The suspect reportedly fled the scene immediately after the altercation.
A short time later, officers located Thompson in West Chester Borough, seated inside the same vehicle he had allegedly used to flee. He was taken into custody without incident, and the vehicle—believed to be directly involved in the assault—was impounded for further examination.
Police executed a court-approved search warrant on July 28 and recovered a loaded handgun from the impounded vehicle. Authorities have not released information about the condition of the victim.
Thompson was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment, and a preliminary hearing will be scheduled before District Court 15-3-07.
Parkesburg Borough Police expressed their appreciation to the Coatesville City Police Department and the West Chester Borough Police Department for their support in the investigation.
As with all criminal proceedings, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
