Man Accused of Failing to Register Arrested in Pottstown

POTTSTOWN, PA — A 49-year-old man was taken into custody after police said he allegedly failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements while living in Chester County.

According to North Coventry Township Police, Christopher Michael Graham, a California resident, was arrested on Thursday, March 26, following an unrelated encounter with officers.

Police reported that during the interaction, officers identified Graham as a registered sex offender in California.

An investigation determined that Graham had allegedly not complied with registration requirements since November 2024, according to authorities.

Investigators also reported that Graham allegedly had an active felony warrant in California for a similar offense and had been living in North Coventry Township for more than a year without registering with Pennsylvania authorities as required.

Police said a felony arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday, March 25, and Graham was taken into custody the following day without incident.

Graham has been charged with failure to comply with registration requirements, according to police. He is being held at Chester County Prison pending arraignment.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
