WILMINGTON, DE — Police have arrested a man accused in connection with a robbery in which investigators say a suspect was armed with a knife.
Wilmington police reported officers with the Uniformed Services Division responded at approximately 9:08 p.m. on February 14 to the 100 block of South Harrison Street for a reported assault and robbery.
According to investigators, the victim was assaulted during the incident and the suspect was reportedly armed with a knife. Police said the victim was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
Authorities said the case was assigned to Detective Joran Merced of the Wilmington Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
According to police, the investigation led detectives to identify 20-year-old Qaadair Parks as a suspect, and warrants were obtained for his arrest.
Investigators reported that officers located Parks on March 6 in the 200 block of North Franklin Street and took him into custody without incident.
Police said Parks has been charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, and second-degree conspiracy.
Authorities reported that Parks was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after bail was set at $34,000 secured.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
