Major Drug Bust in Wilmington Nets Crack Cocaine, Cash—Suspect in Custody

WILMINGTON, DE — A months-long investigation by Wilmington Police has led to the arrest of a local man on charges connected to illegal drug sales.

On February 19, at approximately 9:42 a.m., officers from the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division executed a search warrant in the 1900 block of West 7th Street. Authorities took 43-year-old Elijah Ramos into custody without incident.

During the search, police recovered 28 grams of crack cocaine, 29.3 grams of cocaine, and $3,743 in cash. Ramos now faces multiple charges, including two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity.

Ramos was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $120,000 cash-only bail.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
