According to police, officers located the vehicle near the intersection of Byberry Road and Surrey Road and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Police allege Steward refused to stop and continued driving until traffic congestion forced the vehicle to halt near the intersection of Byberry Road and Pine Road.

Officers reported that Steward allegedly drove erratically during the encounter and nearly pushed an officer into oncoming traffic. Police said the victim was eventually able to exit the vehicle and speak with officers at the scene.

Authorities stated an arrest warrant was applied for and approved. On February 13, 2026, Steward was taken into custody by another Bucks County police department on Lower Moreland’s warrant, according to police.
