PARKESBURG, PA — Parkesburg Borough Police are investigating the alleged theft of a vehicle that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, December 27, and are urging residents across several neighborhoods to review home surveillance footage for potential clues.
According to police, the alleged theft took place between approximately 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. in the 800 block of West Fifth Avenue. Investigators believe two individuals were involved and may have been walking through the surrounding area on foot prior to the incident.
As part of the investigation, police are requesting video footage from residents in multiple nearby locations, including
- West Second Avenue
- West Third Avenue,
- West Fourth Avenue,
- West Fifth Avenue,
- West Sixth Avenue,
- West Seventh Avenue,
- East Bridge Street south of First Avenue,
- West Bridge Street south of First Avenue,
- South Culvert Street south of First Avenue,
- West Street south of First Avenue, and
- Chestnut Street near North Limestone Road.
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle has since been recovered and is currently undergoing evidence processing, including DNA analysis. No arrests have been announced, and police have not released descriptions of the individuals believed to be involved.
